Hello Savvas

Just a quick note to let you know Ewan enjoyed his time at Skill 7 - it rates 1st equal with another scheme (a week long one run by his current manager in the summer holidays) he has done & says he would probably like to come again, so that's an achievement!

If you want to know more, please just ask! The attendance trophy was a nice surprise and is bound to encourage repeat bookings! (By chance he happened to know some of the boys on the course as they were his old team mates in his former club.)

Kind regards,
Jan (Mother of Ewan, Stevenage)

Hi Sav,

I just wanted to give you some feedback and say a big thanks for this weeks half term course. The kids have just had the best time! They have just gone to bed with their trophies and are very happy. You and Skill 7 provide such a great, safe and fun environment for them all and now all I hear is “Sav says this” and “Sav does that.” So, a very well done and thank you.

Cheers,
Kerry (Mother of Ben, Olivia, and Charlie of Bushey)

Hi Savvas,

Sorry it's me again!!! Now I realise this is really early but the boys thoroughly enjoyed the day yesterday and are wondering if you are planning on running a course in the Xmas holidays?

Thanks,
Mandy (Mother of Kian and Joshua of Slough)

Thanks very much Sav - Oliver had a great time today. He was a bit under par as he has a terrible cough but he insisted on going along and made it through the day, ending up in a reasonable 5th place! He's looking forward to the December session.

Alison (Mother of Oliver, Cirencester)

Hi Sav,
As you requested, I wanted to let you know that I took Jayden to the A&E last night and they glued his leg. Your first aid job was admired by the nurses, (both bandage and cleaning of the wound), but Jayden insisted that you were better suited to coaching!
I can't thank you enough for the care and attention that Jayden received. Skill 7 is truly the one thing he looks forward to each week. He absolutely loves it and all the coaches.
You can't keep a good man down, he will be back to play again next week.
Once again many sincere thanks to all of you at Skill 7.

Kind Regards,
Sally. (Mother of Jayden, Carpenders Park)

Hi Sav,

Just to let you know, I've posted off Oliver's form today for the session at Stratton in Cirencester. He had such a good time in the summer - apparently no other courses match up to yours!

By the way, do you remember how many points he scored in the summer? He missed the last day and has asked me to see if you remember.

Best wishes,
Alison (Mother of Oliver, Cirencester)

Dear Sav,
I have written a letter to the school saying that your skill7 has really been a great boost to jacks confidence and attitude towards football. When he started the first term he was unsure of returning the following term. Now he looks forward to it and is very positive about football and has helped him with his social skills also. We think you have been brilliant and has been a really good service to the children and our jack, I hope this helps in your pledge to returning to the school, if you so wish. Unfortunately because we don’t drive we will not be able to pick him up from Bushey so will no longer be able to continue however if there is any change please could you email us.
Thank you very much for all your support.

Hi Sav,
Daniel had a brilliant time at his birthday party. All the parents I have spoken to also said their kids loved it. Hopefully you’ll get some new business out of it!
He was shattered after his week away at Selsey. We have only heard good things …apart from him watching The Bill!!!! lol
Anyway, thanks again to Skill 7 and we hope he was a good and fun-to-be-with member of the group.

Charlie has had a great time at all the courses, after school club and Birthday Parties he attended. I also wanted to thank you for giving Scott some experience in the sports industry, I know he enjoyed every moment. I hope things go well for you in the future and thanks again for giving Charlie some great times. He will miss you all loads!

Hi Sav
Just thought I'd let you know that Sean has been picked to train with Tottenham Development Centre!! Unfortunately this is on Mondays and it clashes with your afterschool sessions- much to Sean's disappointment. Big tears on Monday cause he wanted to play footie with his mates!
So I wanted to say a big Thank you for getting him to this level. Sean enjoys Skill 7 so much!
Who knows what the outcome will be for him but I don't think he has the physical strength to get to professional level but as long as he's enjoying it that's what is most important.
Cheers for everything Sav and best of luck with the future of Skill 7.

Edel (Mother of Sean)

Hi Sav,
Great news! Elizabeth will deal with. We will pay the same as last Term, and not the reduced fee, because we can more than afford it, and because the quality and care is great!
Cheers,

PS: If I ever get asked to join the Board of a serious football club, you will be the first on-board after me, as Director of Coaching!

Dear Sav

Thank you for the recent invite and complimentary place (due to sickness) for George to attend the half term session at Fairlands School.

Unfortunately we were away for Christmas and will be away for February too. We will hopefully be booking a place on the Easter session when dates become available.

thanks

Hi Sav.

It seems completely daft that such a completely brilliant organisation should be at risk of folding.

But as you say, the situation is pretty dire out there, and if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Ray looks forward to a very full Year at Skill 7, and thereafter, as long as you believe he’s good enough.

Cheers,

Bob.

Hi Sav.

Joel would like to take part in the after school football again this term.

Pleased to hear that you are able to continue trading, it is hard at the moment. We run our own business and have seen bookings subside towards the end of last year but thankfully are picking up a bit now. I wish you every success.

Kind Regards,

Savva

I was so shocked to hear that you nearly went under - you hinted it to me in our previous email correspondence but I didnt think you were serious

If I may be so bold as to make a couple of observational comments which may help your finances

You don't charge enough (excel charge a lot more than you for 10 - 3). The trophies, whilst are very nice, are not necessary for those other
than the winners - if you wanted to give something to all participants perhaps a medal (much cheaper). Certificates, not necessary

I hope you don't mind me telling you this and you have probably heard this from other sources - but if it can help you save money and continue as a business .

Sorry if I have poked my nose in where it is not wanted.

Sav

Wishing you a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

I am sorry to hear of your difficulties pre Christmas. Though it is never easy to get that kind of news, pre Christmas it has an even greater impact. It is good to hear that you have been able to resolve the issue, and I hope that all the necessary support required is forthcoming, so that Skill 7 continues to provide our children the sporting opportunities for several decades to come.

Though Edu will not be able to join the Skill 7 team in February as we will be on a family skiing holiday, he will be back during the Easter break.

Kind regards

7th January 2009

Hi Sav

I had no idea the financial situation you were in and that your organisation nearly came to an end. Well done for getting the backing from the bank for you to continue the great work that you offer our children.

I hope you realise how much we appreciate the help and support you have shown Daniel and Lewis over the years, and indeed it was you who gave Daniel the chance at Cambridge and look where he is now.

All the very best for 2009 and all the luck in the world for continuing with Skill 7.

I will most certainly remember you should I win the lottery - maybe I should be positive and say WHEN I win the lottery.

Take care

Sorry to hear your bad news. I would hate to think there was no skill 7 because I know how much fun Sebastian has had at your courses over the years. He is too busy to the attend the elite course at the weekends but look forward to getting your next holiday dates and he will be keen to come over

Hi, Raphy loved the couple of days he had at Skill 7, thank you so much and I am so pleased you can continue for now.... Just wondered if you will be holding a course during the 'Sinai' half term which is from Monday 16th Feb. Also, if so if you give me details, I will put in the newsletter at Sinai for you as loads of Raphy's friends are football made.

Take care,
